Jeremiah's Traverse

Description

Fun, safe, traverse requiring no crash pad (or crashpad optional).  Start at the right of the formation. Move left.  Stay about 1 to 4 feet off the ground. Towards the right, it will get more difficult and come up over some smaller boulders, towards the start of the Charred Shrub route. Follow it, you won't need to worry about being over those small boulders for this because you should stay less than a foot and a half above them.  If you fall on them you won't fall backwards, they form a little protective ledge.  The crux is towards the end, it becomes challenging slab climbing. It starts easy and get's harder so it's ideal for new climbers if you want to hop on and see how far you can get.

Location

Set out on the trail that starts from the south end of the southmost parking lot.  All the parking lots are connected so this won't be hard to find.Sierra avenue is visible running parallel 20 feet to your left.  Walk about 75 feet on this trail.  You should pass the tunnel on your left by 15 feet.  Look directly right.  You should be in a burnt shrub area (at least as of 2021) and there's a formation of rocks kind of nestled into the hill with an unobstructed approach about 15 feet to your right (15 feet west of the trail).  There is a boulder on the left that sticks out front a bit.  If you go right of that boulder, to the edge of the continuous rock there, that's the start.

Protection

Low traverse. Crashpad optional if you follow as recommended.
