Turkey Trot

One of the better pitches of well protected 5.7 face in the entire park.  Follows 9 bolts up a very cool slab to a rap station at a ledge.

Jim Stimson had originally put this up as a very bold lead just over 40 years ago.  (His first bolt is about 80' off the ground and the second and only other bolt is about 25' above that.)

Jim very generously gave his approval for bolts to protect the first part of the pitch.  His words were - "I'd be thrilled if more people got to do the route"  (I don't think he has any idea how many people are going to be hiking up the slab to do this moderate gem...  lol )  "I always loved the climbing on the route and the slab feature was always really cool too.  I hope lots of people enjoy it.."

Walk up the slabs a few hundred feet west of West Country.  A very easy approach that is suitable for young climbers.  The climb sits above a massive sandy ledge area.
