Description
[Edit]An out of-the-way micro crag that isn't too far from the road and offers a nice variety of climbing. This is a 4 season cliff. In fact most of the routes so far were developed and climbed in winter. That fact is especially interesting since this area also holds some of the best ice climbing at Russell. You can climb a few pitches of ice and then climb some rock in the same session.
The Nook gets sun early and plenty of shade in the afternoon. The routes are a smooth mix of sport routes and trad routes. The rock quality is mostly good but like with all Russell cliffs. The rock is a bit soft so be aware of possible exfoliating rock.
