Description

Walk Like an Egyptian climbs a shallow up-and-left ramp on the steep face to the left of Ra Ra (listed next).  Reach it by climbing past the first two bolts on Ra Ra. Step left to a stance.  Five bolts on the headwall protect the ramp.  The last of these protects moves over a bulge, onto a narrowing, north-facing slab (now 10 feet left and down from Ra Ra’s sixth bolt).  Another bolt to the left (eight lead bolts total) protects the slab. Finish at a three-bolt anchor above a nearly-flat stance (the anchor is shared with the next three routes, Ra Ra, Tut Tut, and Hieroglyphics).

Descend by rappelling 55 feet (there is no walk off).

Location

This unique route shares a start with Ra Ra. To find both routes, look for a fairly steep, 20 foot wide, west-facing slab with a steep headwall to its left (north). The headwall includes a prominent but fairly shallow up-and-left ramp.

Protection

Eight bolts.
