Slab o' Butter

Description

Slab o' Butter is a fun, little slab requiring foot work and use of a mono pocket. Start as far right as you can go on the west face of the Butter Boulder on two sidepulls and a little ramp for feet. Pull up to more sidepulls and a fun high step onto a slabby smear about hip level. Follow a couple small but good enough holds until you find yourself in the middle of the slab with a tiny crimp for your right hand and an amazing slot for your left. Find some good higher feet, and reach up high and left for the arete. Finish on jugs. This is fun stuff.

Location

This is two climbs to the right of the

Butter

Slab o' Butter problem and is the furthest right you can climb on the west face of the Butter Boulder.

Protection

2+ pads and a spotter. Watch out for the landing on the rock. If you fall up high, you could hit a tree and/or a big rock. Be careful. It is best to have a couple pads and a spotter.
