The Road to Rivendell

This was done as a traditional, all gear route, by Jim Knight. Most climbers should toprope it first, checking the gear out, before jumping on the sharp end. Route is very chossy. Position belayer to avoid rain of choss. Left side has slightly better rock.

Scramble up the gully about 20 yds past Nine in Black. Stay on belay after topping Along Came a Strider to access the anchor bolts via a dirty down-sloping ramp
