Entrenched Meanderers

Description

This beautiful splitter starts as tight hands, quickly yields perfect hands, and launches abruptly into never-ending, slightly overhung cups/tight fists with a slight off-set. Ends on a small ledge. The rock is pretty good for the Bluff Member, but has a slight grit to the crack which makes tape (I almost never tape in the desert) highly suggested.

A sustained line with physical climbing that will follow the desert mantra of hand-size dependent difficulty.

Shade until early afternoon.

Location

This is on the west-facing wall of the upper (northern) reaches of the canyon. It is near the uppermost part of the righthand (east) branch of the main canyon. Refer to the Google Earth image. It's about 20-30 minutes from the car.

Protection

(1x)1 (3x)2 (8-9x)3 BD Camalots, chain/cold shut anchor.
