Description

P1: Climb up the right side of the inverted V to a good stance.  Follow a left-leaning ramp and a left-leaning crack system up into an alcove. Pull up and out the alcove on its left side and then move back right and up the face above to a good belay at a large pine tree.

Scramble up easy ledges above the tree to the Luncheon Ledge area.

This is a decent route with pretty good gear.  More traffic would help clean it up.

Location

This climb is located in the middle gully area between the top of Ecstasy/EJ and the Luncheon Ledge area.  Most people just hike up this area and bypass the wall on their right side, not giving it a second thought.

The climb is roughly in the middle of the area at an obvious inverted V formation in the the rock.  There is a decent size pine and a couple of cairns that mark the entrance to the short trail to the start. You've gone too far if you hit the big tree on the left with a rap anchor at the top of the Old Hemlock Grove area.

Protection

standard trad rack, nothing special needed.
