Description
There is one large, vertical crack that extends up the entire pitch. I actually use this pitch to teach rappelling to beginners, but it would also work for trad or bouldering (there is a lot of bouldering in this area). Make sure to bring plenty of water!
Location
This is the south-west most ridge on the "mountain" area. Take the left fork trail from the visitors center and as soon as you see the rock formations to your left start going off-trail. Upon reaching the ridge look for a rock, the size of a compact car, that is supported in the air between two neighboring rocks. Simply Cracked is on the left side of this rock tunnel.
Protection
I loop my anchor rope around a large rock that is on top of the pitch for top-roping and rappelling. If you are doing a Trad climb, cams can be inserted into the vertical crack.
