Starting Point Crack

Climb the layback crack with great pro and good stances and exiting left at the top of the crack to join the anchors at the top of the first pitch of Misunderstood, or continue up and right onto the easy low angled slab to join into the rest of the first pitch of Snake Pit. There is a bit of grass here and there on the pitch but the climbing is still good for the grade and the rock is solid.

This pitch acts as a safer and more natural start to Snake Pit and a very good route for new trad leaders.

Start in the oaks in a right facing corner to the right of Misunderstood and on the far left side of the original start to Snake Pit with its highball first bolt.
