From the Stateline Overlook parking lot: Follow the gully to the left of the overlook shortly after the fence ends. From Prospectors Trail: Follow Prospector trail past Burning Breaks going toward the Lodge (south) and turn left up an obvious drainage. A strong user trail already exists.
