Follow the great new approach trail to the Schoolroom from the Gate Buttress parking area (thanks SLCA!) Once you find yourself beneath Bushwhack Crack keep traversing right- eventually frictioning straight across a mottled slab to further blocky scrambling until you reach the ledge below the lone juniper tree that sits on the ledge where Bitterfinger's thin climbing begins.
