Moon Walk

Description

This route was likely top-roped but fell into obscurity for 20 years before being rediscovered and bolted for lead. Climb the juggy lower angled section for 20 feet before committing to the sustained vertical upper crux. Keep it together while clipping the bolts and ward off the pump while climbing through the delicate finish moves.

To the right of the bolt line is an obvious corner. This corner, originally called “Stem Christie”, is an older Stanton/Madgewick route

which can be top-roped from another anchor. This is a completely different line of climbing.

Location

This is the second bolted route encountered after arriving at the base area of Moon Rock. Climbs the obvious vertical face and a shallow vertical seam, 10’ ft to the right side of the prominent Arete.
