Description
a super good line especially for the wall, I was surprised to see it wasn’t already in the book
using the start of up “up your bum” and finishing at the anchors of “where Frenchman dare”
pretty cruisey climbing but has a certain “spook factor” getting on to the arete that gives beginners a nice chance to feel some exposure
the climb is easily protected, but watch your rope when you go around the corner, the horizontal crack is the prefect size to inhale your rope, extended placements can avoid it or a strategically placed nut or cam on the corner can keep it out.
Location
In between up your bum and when French men dare second farthest line to the right
Protection
I use a .5c4 and either a 00tcu or a .1z4, but it will take most fingersized gear
bolted anchor, watch the swing if you top rope this one
(a .1z4 fits perfectly in the horizontal crack just around the corner, good directional for top rope and also prevents the rope from snagging)
