Hunter's Hard One

Description

This is the harder version of

Skip's Hard One

.

Start sitting with both hands matched on an incut slot at around 3 feet. Use a pair of crimps to gain a crimp sidepull and angle leftwards towards the large, incut jug. From the jug, move leftwards to gain the finish of

Frosted Flakes

. Drop off.

This climb is similar to

Skip's Hard One

except that it eliminates

ALL

of the good holds to the right of the start. This includes the juggy, vertical seams, the large horizontal shelf used for feet and the large incut edge hold as well (see the topo photo). This makes the moves significantly harder. Hard pulls on sloping crimps makes this a straightforward test of finger strength.

Though it may seem like this is an eliminate of an eliminate, I would argue that this is the purer, better line and a more straightforward contrivance than '

Skip's Hard One

'.

Location

This is located on the left side of The Main Wall. Look for a low horizontal shelf. This problem starts just left of that.

Protection

A few pads are useful due to the traversing nature of the problem.
